Mit diesen Mikrocontroller-Modul-Familien stehen dem Anwender eine Reihe unterschiedlicher Controller-Module zur Verfügung. Der Vorteil von Modul-Familien ist das weitgehend aufwärtskompatible Anschluss-Schema aller Module. Dadurch wird ein Upgrade bestehender Applikationen durch Module höherer Rechen- oder Peripherieleistung ermöglicht. Neue Anforderungen lassen sich so durch den Austausch des Rechnerkerns meist ohne Neuentwicklungen bewältigen.
